Margaret McNamara, the inspiration behind the organization, was the wife of Robert McNamara, the fifth president of the World Bank.\”

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a South African citizen; citizens of other countries may be eligible based on the eligibility list.
  • If you are a foreigner, you must possess a study permit for South Africa.
  • Must be a female.
  • Should be over 25 years of age at the time of application.
  • Must be enrolled at one of the following universities: the University of Cape Town, University of Witwatersrand, University of Free State (UFS), University of Pretoria, University of Stellenbosch.
  • Must be pursuing a Certificate, Undergraduate, Graduate, or Postgraduate degree.
  • Must be enrolled either full-time or part-time, with a minimum of two courses per semester for part-time students.
  • Full enrollment is required after receiving the bursary amount.
  • Additionally, you must enroll for the next academic year, i.e., January to July 2023.
  • Should not have any familial relation to employees of the IMF, World Bank Group, or Inter-American Development Bank.
  • For the 2023 session, must have been born before September 15, 1996.
