TaiwanICDF Scholarship Program 2024

The TaiwanICDF scholarship for higher education, collaborating with esteemed partner universities in Taiwan to provide undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. programs. To be eligible, applicants must adhere to the following requirements:

1. Be a citizen of a country on the List of Countries Eligible for TaiwanICDF Scholarship, meeting specific criteria set by their country and/or government of citizenship.
2. Not be a national of the Republic of China (Taiwan) or an overseas compatriot student.
3. Satisfy the admission requirements of the partner university under the TaiwanICDF scholarship.
4. Fulfill the requirements for a Resident Visa (Code: FS) by the Bureau of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) by the Ministry of the Interior, ROC (Taiwan) government.
5. Not hold any other ROC (Taiwan) government-sponsored scholarship in the same academic year when the TaiwanICDF scholarship commences.
6. If previously awarded a TaiwanICDF scholarship, MOFA’s Taiwan Scholarship, or an MOE scholarship, applicants must have graduated before July 31, 2023, to apply for a 2024 scholarship.
7. Provide the highest-level diploma before July 31, 2024. If unable to obtain the certificate by this date, applicants may apply for the next year’s scholarship.
8. Have never had a scholarship revoked by any ROC (Taiwan) government agency or related institution, nor been expelled from any Taiwanese university.

Benefits of the scholarship include:

1. Airfare: The TaiwanICDF arranges direct round-trip flights to and from Taiwan with Economy Class tickets.
2. Housing: All students must reside in student dormitories.
3. Tuition Fee: The TaiwanICDF covers the required tuition fee set by the student’s university.
4. Credit Fees: Credit fees, varying with registered credits, will also be covered as required by the student’s university.
5. Insurance: Mandatory student safety insurance set by the Ministry of Education, along with accidental and necessary medical coverage, will be covered for the entire program duration.
6. Book Costs: Purchasing textbooks, subject to the approval of the student’s institute director.
7. Allowance:
   • Master’s Program: NT$18,000 per month for food and miscellaneous living expenses, deposited monthly into the student’s local bank account.
   • D. Program: NT$20,000 per month for food and miscellaneous living expenses, deposited monthly into the student’s local bank account.

Application Procedure:

Follow the step-by-step application process for the Taiwan ICDF Scholarship program:

1. Complete the onlineapplication before March 15, 2024.
2. Complete and submit the requested admission documents before the admissions deadline of the TaiwanICDF scholarship partner universities.
3. Submit necessary documents to the ROC (Taiwan) Embassy or Representative Office in your country.
4. After a review of a list of recommended applicants to the TaiwanICDF.
5. The list of successful applicants will be informed by 10th June 2024.
6. University Application:In addition to the TaiwanICDF application, candidates must apply separately to their chosen universities and meet their specific requirements.
