University of New Brunswick UNB Undergraduate Scholarship 2023 Application Details
Our scholarship program adopts a progressive approach to annual scholarship funding, recognizing academic achievement and supporting your education.
High School Students: Your scholarship offer for the first year at UNB is based on your scholarship average, which includes the 6 courses required for admission into your chosen program and bonus points for completed IB, AP, and/or enriched grade 11 and 12 courses.
To be considered for entrance scholarships, complete the entrance scholarship application by Mar. 1. The provided information will assist us in assessing you for numerous scholarship opportunities, with all scholarships distributed by Apr. 30.
- Scholarship Average / Minimum Amount:
- 100%: $5,000
- 95-99.9%: $4,000
- 90-94.9%: $1,500
- 85-89.9%: $1,000
- 80-84.9%: $500
Scholarship offers are subject to your SGPA, our funding, and applications. Names of scholarships are subject to change, and the scale does not apply to Bachelor of Education, Transfer, and Juris Doctor programs.
Continuing Students (Year 2, 3, 4, and Beyond): For continuing scholarship support, follow these steps:
- Apply every year between Jan 1 – Apr 15 (continuing students scholarship application)
- Achieve at least a 3.7 SGPA
- Complete at least 24 credit hours in the previous assessment year (May-April)
Funding starts at $1,000 for a 3.7 SGPA, and the scholarship amounts are as follows:
- SGPA / Minimum Amount:
- 3: $7,000
- 2: $6,000
- 1: $5,000
- 0: $4,000
- 9: $3,000
- 8: $2,000
- 7: $1,000
Similar to entrance scholarships, continuing scholarship offers are dependent upon your SGPA, our funding, and applications, with the names subject to change. This scale does not apply to Bachelor of Education, Transfer, and Juris Doctor programs.
