Singapore International Graduate Award Scholarships 2024 (Fully Funded)

The Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) represents a collaborative initiative involving the Agency for Science, Technology & Research (A*STAR), the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), the National University of Singapore (NUS), the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), and the Singapore Management University (SMU).

Doctoral training within the SINGA program is conducted in English, taking place at the student’s selected laboratory within A*STAR research institutes, as well as NTU, NUS, SUTD, or SMU. Upon the successful completion of the program, students are conferred with a Ph.D. degree by either NTU, NUS, SUTD, or SMU.

Research Areas covered by SINGA include Biomedical Sciences, Computing and Information Sciences, Engineering and Technology, and Physical Sciences.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Open to all international graduates with a keen interest in research and outstanding academic achievements. Notably, SINGA primarily targets those studying in Singapore for the first time. Singaporeans, Singapore Permanent Residents, and international students currently studying or having studied in Singapore tertiary institutions are ineligible.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
  • Positive recommendations from academic referees.

Benefits: The SINGA award offers comprehensive support for a duration of up to 4 years of Ph.D. studies, covering:

  • Tuition fees.
  • Monthly stipend starting at S$2,200, with an increase to S$2,700 after successfully passing the Qualifying Examination.
  • One-time airfare grant of up to S$1,500.
  • One-time settling-in allowance of S$1,000.
