University of the Free State Registration 2025
“Registering for the University of the Free State (UFS) involves two main stages: applying and enrolling. Upon receiving your application, UFS will evaluate it and inform you of their decision. Before proceeding with enrollment, ensure all outstanding fees are settled.
If you’ve received acceptance into the University of the Free State, follow the Step-by-Step Guide below to enroll:
How to Enroll at the University of the Free State:
- Activate your UFS student account using the provided student number and password received upon admission.
- Self-service registration can be completed through two methods:
- UFS Student Homepage:
- Visit the UFS Self Service page: https://selfservice.ufs.ac.za/
- Sign in with your username and password.
- Choose the relevant semester and click “Continue.”
- Utilize “Add or Drop Modules” to select your desired courses.
- Submit your selections and verify them on your Proof of Registration.
UFS Oracle PeopleSoft system:
- Access: https://pssa.ufs.ac.za/psp/csprd/?&cmd=login&languageCd=ENG&.
- Log in to the Oracle PeopleSoft system using your student number and password.
- Navigate to “My Education Plan” and then the “Enrollment Tab.”
- Select “Add/Change Courses” and manage your course selections.
- Update your planner, validate it, and create your schedule.
- Enroll and confirm your selections on your Proof of Registration.
IMPORTANT: Monitor your official UFS email address (studentnumber@ufs4life.ac.za) regularly, as it serves as the primary electronic communication channel between you and the University. Access your email at http://www.ufs4life.ac.za.
Please allow UFS sufficient time to process your registration. If you anticipate that your registration won’t be processed by the registration closing date, contact the student helpdesk at the ICT Services Department at +27 51 401 9111 (press 4).”
