Criteria for Eligibility.
To qualify for United Nations Career Opportunities for Young Professionals, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a master’s degree in energy, engineering, economics, environmental science, finance, or a related discipline relevant to UNIDO’s mission.
- Be under the age of 30 at the time of application.
- Possess at least one year of relevant professional work experience, with a preference for experience involving the practical implementation of technical cooperation activities.
- Demonstrate knowledge of intergovernmental affairs and interagency cooperation on sustainable development and climate change, acquired through academic studies or professional experience in the public or private sector. Experience in assessing the needs, conditions, and challenges of developing countries is desirable.
- Have fluency in English and excellent communication skills. Proficiency in other United Nations official languages is advantageous.
