REQUIREMENTS

\”The SAMSTIP Teacher Internship Bursaries 2023 are open to the public and specifically target qualified applicants in the science and mathematics fields. All applicants MUST meet the following criteria:

  • Tertiary students in their final year with credits in Mathematics, Life Science, Natural Science, or Physical Science.
  • University graduates with degrees in the above-mentioned subjects.
  • South African citizens with a clean criminal record.
  • Applicants below thirty years old majoring in the specified subjects.
  • Graduates registered for PGCE with a tertiary institution are not eligible.
  • All applicants must have acceptance letters for the PGCE 2023 academic year, meeting all institutional and legal protocols.
  • Graduates MUST be at least in their second year (NQF -6) or third year (NQF-6) in at least one of the specified academic subjects at a tertiary academic institution.

Bursary Coverage:

  • Tuition fees.
  • Prescribed textbooks.
  • Accommodation.
  • Transport.
  • A modest monthly stipend.\”
